Abstract

This study assessed the satisfaction level of Al-Istiqlal University employees regarding public relations and security media performance. The researcher employed a descriptive methodology and collected data through questionnaires distributed to 174 employees and semi-structured interviews with six employees. The study's results revealed moderate satisfaction with communication activities (mean = 3.18), with intermediate communication channels (telephone, email) being used most frequently (mean = 3.82) and mass media being used least (mean = 3.40). Administrative reasons were the primary drivers of communication (mean = 4.01). The department succeeded in explaining university objectives (mean = 3.92) but showed deficiencies in employee training (mean = 3.63). Additionally, the satisfaction with practitioners' performance was high (mean = 3.86). The study recommends restructuring the department with specialized employees. The study recommends enhancing digital media presence, establishing a university radio station, and establishing direct reporting lines for senior management to improve the educational institution's communication effectiveness.
