The articles in this issue, Volume 2, Issue 1 (2026), shape the themes on classrooms, institutions, and communities across Iraq, the Philippines, Palestine, and Egypt. Together, they reflect the uneven terrain on which educational reimagining must occur, where policy ambitions collide with pedagogical realities and local challenges demand locally grounded responses. Each contribution, in its own way, interrogates the gap between what education promises and what it delivers, and each offers pathways, however partial, toward more responsive and equitable practice.
