Associate Editor Position
Dibon Journal of Education (DJE) is seeking a dedicated Associate Editor with strong research credentials to contribute to our publication's growth and academic excellence.
The Dibon Journal of Education (DJE) requires all participants in the peer-review and publication process to declare any potential conflicts of interest.
Definition
A conflict of interest exists when professional judgment concerning a primary interest (such as research validity) may be influenced by secondary interests (financial relationships, personal relationships, academic competition, intellectual beliefs).
For Authors
- Must declare any conflicts of interest during manuscript submission
- Required to include a "Conflicts of Interest" statement in their manuscript
- Must update their conflicts of interest declaration if circumstances change
- Financial and non-financial interests from the past 3 years must be disclosed
For Reviewers
- Must declare conflicts before accepting review assignments
- Should decline reviews where they have:
- Recent collaboration with any author
- Financial interest in the research
- Direct academic competition
- Personal relationship with authors
- If conflicts arise during review, immediately notify the editor
For Editors
- Must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have conflicts
- Editorial decisions will be delegated to other editors without conflicts
- Editors cannot make decisions on their own submissions
- Must declare annual conflicts of interest statement
Handling Procedures
1. All declared conflicts will be reviewed by the editorial office
2. Undisclosed conflicts identified after publication will trigger investigation
3. The journal reserves the right to publish corrections or retractions if undeclared conflicts are discovered
4. Appeals regarding conflict of interest decisions can be made to the Editor-in-Chief
